School of Foreign Languages Administration Met with Students
The administration of the School of Foreign Languages met with students to listen to their views and suggestions regarding the teaching and learning process. During the event, which was held in a friendly and sincere atmosphere, students’ academic expectations, course contents, and needs related to foreign language education were discussed.
The event was attended by the Director of the School of Foreign Languages, Dr. Ercan Kaçmaz, Preparatory Program Coordinator Dr. Fatma Başarır, and Service Courses Coordinator Dr. Aslı Özdemir.
The meeting brought together students studying within the Compulsory Preparatory Program, including those from the English Language Teaching, German Language Teaching, and International Relations departments, as well as students studying within the Optional Preparatory Program. In addition, students from the Faculty of Tourism, including those from the Tourism Management, Tourist Guiding, and Gastronomy and Culinary Arts departments, participated in the event.
During the meeting, it was emphasized that continuity plays a crucial role in maintaining the sustainability of effective language education and that regular attendance contributes directly to the development of students’ language skills. Furthermore, the problems and expectations students encounter during their learning process were evaluated, and the importance of a student‑centered approach was highlighted. The administration of the School of Foreign Languages stated that such meetings will continue in the future in order to further improve the quality of education.
