NEVU-SFL HOSTED The “13th Meeting Of Administrators Of The School Of Foreign Languages”

Administrators of the Schools of Foreign Languages from Turkish state and private universities, members of the Ministry of National Education, members of the Higher Education Council and members of ÖSYM (Assessment Selection and Placement Center) attended the meeting which was held at NEVU Culture and Congress Center between 17-19 October 2019.
In opening remarks, NEVU School of Foreign Languages Director Dr. Bengü Aksu Ataç emphasized that the meeting was different from other academic language education events since the Platform of Administrators of the School of Foreign Languages enabled academics to share administrative problems and suggestions for solutions. Afterwards, Prof. Dr. Hüsnü Enginarlar talked about the Platform of Administrators of the School of Foreign Languages, its goals and activities, and pointed out that the Platform was founded based on real requirements.
Hosted by NEVU-SFL, several sessions and panels organized under the titles of “ Foreign Language Teaching through 21st Century Education Principles”,”Preparatory Programs Except for English and Their Problems”, Accreditation in Foreign Language Education”, “Global Actors in Foreign Language Teaching in Turkey” and “International Foreign Language Exams”. In these panels, experts in their fields made presentations to the participants and academics shared their views in question and answer session.
The “13th Meeting Of Administrators Of The School Of Foreign Languages” ended after the gala dinner with a tour of Cappadocia which hosted different civilizations.
