One Day Event XI: AI-Powered Gamification in EFL Class

Abstract
In this interactive training, participants explore how to effectively integrate gamification elements, such as points, badges, challenges, and storylines, into EFL classrooms to boost engagement and motivation. The session introduces practical AI tools that can be used to design digital games, quizzes, interactive stories, scavenger hunts and personalized learning activities. Teachers will also learn how to fine-tune AI tools (like GPT-based assistants or quiz generators) to align with their teaching goals and student profiles.
Biodata
Dr. Ümit Yakar is an academic and educational entrepreneur specializing in educational technologies and AI integration in education. As a lecturer and researcher, he has designed and delivered over 30 training sessions and workshops in more than 15 countries, focusing on innovative teaching methodologies, digital tools, and AI integration. Dr. Yakar actively works on professional development of teachers, helping educators integrate technology, interactive learning techniques, and digital platforms into their teaching. His research focuses on edtech innovations, AI-powered education, and gamified learning strategies. He has delivered keynote speeches at multiple conferences and academic events on the role of AI in education, digital transformation in teaching, and educational technology trends.
