2025–2026 Academic Year SFL Orientation Program

To avoid overcrowding, our orientation program will be carried out with 4 different groups at different times. Please adhere to the time allocated to your class and be present at the meeting point at the specified time. Attendance will be taken for the classes participating in the orientation activity after the program. The orientation program will last two days, and the same classes will begin their program at the same time on both days.

• English Language Teaching (ELT A & B Sections) and German Language Teaching (A & B Sections): 10:00
• International Relations (English) Preparatory Classes (A & B Sections): 11:15
• Selective Preparatory (SPC A & B & C Sections): 14:30
• Selective Preparatory (SPC D & E & F & G Sections): 15:45

- Introduction and group photo session
- Information on the Student’s Handbook and QR code sharing
- Information for SPC sections regarding the Placement Examination on 22 September at 10:00
- Information for SPC sections regarding the Preparatory Year (separate briefing for the Faculty of Tourism)
- Information for SPC classes on the option to transfer to a department in the first week
- Information for SPC classes on the benefits of successfully completing the Preparatory Class for their faculty studies
- Tips for compulsory preparatory students regarding the preparatory year
- Information on attendance requirements
- Information on books to be read and how to obtain them (Placement Exam for SPC sections)
- Information on the UBYS system
- Information on the Career Center and MEDİKO
- Information on course passing grades
- Information on student ID cards
- Introduction to the student entrance-exit gate, security, vending machines, and student restrooms
- Information about instructors’ offices and office hours
- Methods of reaching instructors
- Information on the exam results appeal process
- Meeting with administrators
- Introduction of the cafeteria and Şehit Eren Bülbül Conference Halls
